Children's Yoga Club in Harlow
This new yoga club is open to all children and takes place in Harlow. Jo has been teaching in schools for 4 years and loves bringing yoga to children of all ages. The classes consist of different breathing techniques, physical postures and meditation. Jo always brings one of her many singing bowls to class which help the children to calm their minds and become more focused. Broadfields Primary School is hosting the classes which are on Tuesdays at:
4pm-4.45pm for Ages 4 to 8
5pm-5.45pm for Ages 9 to 13
The cost will be £30 per term (x10 weeks)
Please submit your childs registration form in ASAP and don't leave it too long as the 15 spaces in each class will go on a first come first served basis and there is a lot of interest. Places will be confirmed once the signed registration form and cheque for £30 is received. Contact the office for a registration form: jo@innerguidance.co.uk
Inset Package
Inner Guidance provides a 1 or 2 hour relaxation inset package for teachers to de-stress, which includes tips to take into the classroom to help relax the children and create a calmer environment to encourage learning. Both packages are designed with the well-being of both teachers and pupils in mind, so everyone feels the benefits of the techniques taught. The cost is from just £50, and your teachers will feel like they've received a real treat! Please contact the office and ask for an Inset Pack: jo@innerguidance.co.uk

Testimonials
Children have lots of fun discovering how their bodies work and all the different animal postures we visit during the class. Each class consists of breathing exercises, the physical postures and meditation. Surprisingly the children absolutely love the meditation section and happily sit or lie down for up to 10 minutes in complete silence watching their breath or resting their eyes on a stone placed in front of them. Here are some of the comments from children in Harlow that took part in yoga classes in the summer term 2010:
"It's fun!", "I enjoyed meditation as it keeps me calm", "I enjoyed the shoulder stand becuase it's fun and get's easier each time you do it. Also working in pairs - partnership - working together", "I enjoyed relaxation because it made me feel calm and relaxed", "I enjoyed different topics and postitions eg: Olympics = fun!"
Birthday Parties
We also deliver birthday parties for children aged 3 and upwards. A yoga party is an exciting and healthy way for your child and their friends to interact and play. Fun yoga stories and games offer an alternative theme to other parties you may have hosted for your children. Please contact for more information and a price list.
Age 3 to 7
We start yoga classes for children aged 3. The yoga postures are woven into fun and creative stories and adventures, which help develop children’s imagination whilst exercising their bodies and teaching them from a very early age the importance of relaxation. We support the SEAL/PHSE and EYFS principles, and can help schools and nurseries attain their targets.
Age 8-12
For this slightly older age group we concentrate on themed classes and learning how to align the body and have good posture. We play yoga games and enjoy exercise in a non-competitive environment. More relaxation techniques are given to this age group along with breathing exercises to balance body and mind. We also offer one-off workshops for Healthy Schools Week and Anti-Bullying Week, and other school initiatives.
Age 13-18
Teenagers have a lot of pressure to perform and deliver, and the stress of these expectations can sometimes feel overwhelming. Our yoga sessions work even deeper in the body with this age group, and meditation/relaxation techniques are introduced which help teens find focus and concentration during exams.
Families
We also offer classes for families to bring adults and children closer together to have fun and connect with each other. This is a great opportunity for Family Learning and for everyone to have a great time together doing something healthy.
Adults
Additionally we deliver yoga and meditation classes to adults. With weekly classes for your staff you would see improved productivity, concentration, memory retention and general wellbeing: the result being less time taken off work. We could fit a staff session after the children’s class.
